This Tour visits all the Historic Factories, Design Houses, Museums and Restoration shops in Milan – Turin and Modena. The Tour runs for 11 days and 11 nights.
Price: $9,350 for a single
Double: $13,274 for 2 people sharing a room. ($6,637 Each)

I always encourage Tripmates to arrive a couple days early because Como is a great place to decompress from the jet lag and ease into the Italian lifestyle. You can take the fast boat up to Bellagio for lunch and stop off in little villages along the way back.

Does the Tour include airfare?
No. I tried it once but found that most people have air miles built up that they want to use. People also have very special ideas as to traveling before the Tour and after, so it makes better sense to book your own flights.
What city does the Tour start in and what city does it end in?
This Tour officially starts in Como on Sun Sept 22nd.. at check in time and ends in Modena on Thurs. morning Oct 3rd check out time.
There is a mandatory meeting at 5:59PM on Sun Sept 22nd. on the first day of the Tour for a briefing and to meet everyone.
What are the dates of the 2019 FCA Edition Car Guy Tour?
Check into the Como Hotel Sun Sept 22nd. – Check out of the Hotel Canalgrande on Thurs. morning Oct 3rd check out time.
Tour participants should plan to arrive in Como at the Como Hotel no later than Sun Sept 22nd. Sunday night is included in the price of the Tour.
I always encourage people to arrive a couple days early because Como is a great place to decompress from the jet lag and ease into the Italian lifestyle.
You can take the fast boat up to Bellagio for lunch and stop off in little villages along the way back. I have a number of rooms reserved at my rate for this on a first come first serve basis so you can be in the same hotel during your stay in Como. Rates vary. Remember this is high demand weekend so rooms are scarce and expensive.
Will my wife or girlfriend enjoy the tour?
YES! Women have traditionally enjoyed the tour as much as the guys, as there are always plenty to do and see. Typically there are 10 to 12 ladies on each tour. We are happy to give you the names of some ladies that have gone on the tour for you to get their perspective.
What should I bring?
Travel light, 1 roller suitcase and one roller carry on bag. Dress for warm weather. A complete check list will be sent to you prior to departure. The tour includes a logo jacket, hat and name tag.
What day will we be visiting Maranello and Ferrari?
We usually dedicate one full day to Maranello and to all things Ferrari, including meeting for lunch at the famous Cavallino Ristorante, the Ferrari Galleria museum, Ferrari Shopping Super store, Warm Up and Formula 1 Shopping. Call me regarding the Ferrari Factory Tour.
What's included in the Tour?
The price of the tour includes excellent well positioned Deluxe Hotels all positioned in the historic center of each city with “first class” breakfast each day (other meals are extra), Deluxe Bus, tour jacket, hat and name tag, access to museums, factories and special places we visit, not including Ferrari.
The price includes the Finish Line Dinner and Roast on the last night.
The tour includes the cities of Como, Milan, Torino and Modena. Pending any unforeseen circumstances we visit historic icons Zagato, TouringSuperleggera, Alfa Romeo, Borrani Wire Wheels, Pininfarina Centro Stile, Ferrari Galleria, Maserati SUV or Quattroporte factories, Lamborghini, Pagani, Ristorantes, Pizzerias, Private Collections, the not to be missed Autogrills. See the amazing Bacchelli & Villa restoration shop, Ferraris, Ferrari Restorations, Enjoy Lambrusco, Taste the Worlds best Parmesan cheese, Visit the Maserati Collection, Go shopping, enjoy great pasta, meet friendly Italians, get totally blown away.
Where do I fly into and out of?
Book your flight to fly into and out of Milan (Malpensa Airport).
Malpensa is about a 40 minute town car ride (+ – 110Euro) to the Lake Como Hotel. Or you can take a bus or train which takes longer but cost 50% less. I can recommend a Town Car Company for those so inclined. Email me for the town car recommendation.
I always take a town car because I am jet lagged out and just want the trip to end. The Tour ends in Modena.
I usually arrange a bus to take folks back to Malpensa or a car can be arranged with the hotel.
Plan your return flight no sooner than the afternoon or late morning of Thursday October 3rd.
I do not speak Italian, how will I get along?
Most of the Italians we come in contact with speak English. You also learn to communicate with hands and numbers.
Do I need an international driver license?
No.
Who is the tour guide and what is his experience?
Francis G. “Frank” Mandarano is the tour guide. Frank founded the Car Guy Tour in 1998 over 20 years ago. Frank is the founder in 1976 of the Maserati Club International with over 3500 members worldwide/MIE Corp. MIE stocked over 8 million in Maserati spare parts and a shop that restored over 400 Maseratis GT Cars during a 28 year period. He and his wife Janet also founded the Concorso Italiano in 1986. They currently import from Modena some excellent aged Balsamic Vinegar under the MANDARANO brand name.
Frank has been going to Italy and visiting the places on the tour each year for over 40 years. Frank is a true Italian car guy & super enthusiast. Frank has owned and driven literally every Maserati GT car and currently owns a 1960 Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spider and a Ferrari Daytona Spyder.
In addition to the cars you’ll find a vintage Triumph Bonneville and a Vespa 300 GranTourismo in his garage.
