Maserati 3500GT #AM101.916

Maserati 3500GT engine number AM101.916 on the test stand after complete rebuild by Ed Pink
As a Maserati super enthusiast for over 40 years I have visited the factory for the first time in 1971 and have been returning each year since 1976. I have owned and driven hundreds of miles, literally every Classic Maserati GT car and at one time had a collection of over 15 very special Maseratis including rare “one offs” including: 1953 A6GCS racing car A6G Frua Spyder Single Cam A6G Frua Spyder twin cam 1954 A6GCS Frua Spyder 3500GT Bertone Coupe one off 3500GT Frua Coupe one off 3500GT Spyder Mistral Spyder Mexico #001 Frua one off Ghibli Spyder 4.7 and several others When I sold our Maserati Business I “thinned out the fleet”  so to speak and reverted back to my first love the 3500GT.  I enjoy these cars for their simplicity and quality of construction.  I also enjoy working on them and slowly bringing them up to  a very high standard of tune. At 71 years young I don’t play golf so I  spend my time sorting out these beautiful machines.  I enjoy calling Italy to chase down that rare voltage regulator or finding those very rare MonoFlux fuel pumps or having unique fuel lines made in Modena. I only collect 3500’s an am not interested in any other model Maserati. I have decided to keep only two cars.  The Vignale Spyder and the Grey Coupe. For the enjoyment of collectors around the world I have posted photos and history of  1121 and 916. I hope you will find this information inspirational and of interest. Please feel free to contact me should you want to share information on your 3500GT or to discuss experiences.
